The Amazing Race 18 – All Stars is back!

The upcoming 18th season of The Amazing Race that will begin in early 2011 will not only be the first one broadcast in HDTV, it will also be the second all-stars edition comprised of former contestants.

The rumoured contestants included season 17s “Father/Daughter” Gary Ervin and Mallory Ervin, season 16s “Cowboys” Jet McCoy and his brother Cord McCoy, season 15s “Harlem Globetrotters” Nathaniel “The Big Easy” Lofton and Herbert “Flight Time” Lang and “Friends” Zev Glassenberg and Justin Kanew, season 14s “Former NFL Cheerleaders” Cara Rosenthal and Jaime Edmondson,”Dating Couple” Amanda Blackledge and Kris Klicka, “Sisters” Jennifer Hoffman and LaKisha Hoffman, “Mother and Son” Margie Adams and Luke Adams, and “Father and Son” Mel White and Mike White and season 12s “Dating Goths” Kynt Cothron and Vyxsin Fiala and “Father/Daughter” Ronald Hsu and Christina Hsu.

CBS announced The Amazing Race will begin filming in high definition and air in HDTV earlier this month.

“We’re thrilled the audience watching us sprint around the globe each week will continue to witness the breathtaking landscapes that serve as our backdrops, only now in high definition,”
The Amazing Race executive producer and co-creator Bertram van Munster said.
