Site News: Changes
I am amazed how many people who stream TV shows online are still unaware of the current issues related to SOPA and the backlash from Megavideo being shut down. The amount of comments and emails I am getting telling me “The videos are broken, can you fix please?” is staggering 
Sadly more and more video hosts are closing, deleting content or changing their policies to prevent shows being uploaded. Firstly Megavideo, then VideoBB and VideoZer quickly followed – those were the three main hosts I used here at RealityTVFan.org. The alternatives I choose were Novamov, Putlocker and Rapidshare. Putlocker announced they were closing at the start of this month (they don’t appear to have done so, but their future is very uncertain), Novamov have deleted all existing content and limited new uploads to 300mb (most TV shows are 350mb so this is clearly an attempt to stop people uploading shows there) and countless other video hosts have already or will soon be doing similar.
I have no doubts that things will get better and new ‘Megavideos’ will emerge when things settle down, but unfortunately for now RealityTVFan.org is going to have to change as well.
Please understand I don’t want to make these changes but they are necessary for numerous reasons.
* From now on there will be no Dailymotion uploads.
* Dead links will not be updated – so make sure you watch shows as soon as you can.
* Videos will no longer be embedded – they will be linked to.
* All currently airing shows will be completed with the exception of Dancing on Ice.
* I can’t make any promises about which video host(s) will be used, it’ll be a case of getting the link(s) any where I can (so telling me “Aww that host doesn’t work for me, can you post from another host instead” won’t get us any where, if you can’t get a certain host working for some reason contact them, google, try different browsers etc – work it out).
Thanks to every one who has visited this site over the last 5 years – RealityTVFan.org is not closing or going any where, we are just rolling with the punches and waiting things out until they return to ‘normal’.

Site News: VideoBB and VideoZer remove all content
It looks like VideoBB and VideoZer are the next big video sharing sites to fall by the wayside. Around an hour ago they started deleting all the content hosted on their servers. At the moment I cannot find any information about why this is happening – have they been targetted by the law as well as megavideo or are they just running scared (and who could blame them?). It also appears many other sites such as Fileserve have started blocking their sites to US visitors.
What does this mean for this site? I don’t know yet

Site News: Megavideo shut down
MegaUpload, one of the largest file-sharing sites on the Internet, has been shut down by federal prosecutors in Virginia. The site’s founder Kim Dotcom and three others were arrested by the police in New Zealand at the request of US authorities. MegaVideo, the streaming site belonging to same company, and a total of 18 domains connected to the Mega company were seized and datacenters in three countries raided.

Site News: Where are Work of Art, Top Model and Shipwrecked?
I know a lot of people are patiently (and some not so patiently ) waiting on these shows at the moment so just wanted to update you.
Work of Art – this show has always been hard to get hold of, for whatever reason that initial file I rely on has always been inconsistent in when it appears and can take a week or more. Unfortunately I have no control over when I will be able to get it up and I can’t give any indication – but I am always ‘on it’ and as soon as I can get it up I will. Please note also the show didn’t air this week so we’re not expecting another new episode until the 30th November at the earliest.
Next Top Model – Again for whatever reason that initial file I need to share the show here has no appeared this week, this is very unusual as it is usually very fast to appear. I can only assume it is slow this week due to Thanksgiving. Again as soon as it does become available I will get it up and if it helps ease the pain of waiting – it was only a ‘highlights’ episode this week any way!
Shipwrecked The Island – After episode 2 no more have been available, I believe around 5 episodes have aired now but no one seems to be sharing them online. As this is a new show (and not very popular!) I’m not convinced it will ever actually appear which would be a shame as I don’t like to start posting shows and not completing them, but sadly I wouldn’t hold your breath on more episodes coming. Sorry guys.
Edit: I now have Shipwrecked thanks to a torrent tip off from reality tv fan Claire – will get the episodes up over the next day or two
