Typical Luck

I thouroughly enjoyed my shopping trip today and I spent a whole lotta money Though I also did a great job of saving money as the place I went to had a half price sale on, the whole lot ended up costing me around 60% less than it would have if I had gone shopping yesterday instead

However when I was walking home I dropped and broke my glasses so now I need to spend a fortune on new eye wear! Argh, typical luck. The lens is completely smashed on one side and the arm is hanging off on the other.

Thankfully though after coming online I realised that I don’t need to spend that much on eyeglasses afterall – I remembered about a site I had heard of recently after reading a review of them in The Examiner, you can get perscription glasses from them for as little as $8 – $8, that’s insane to me because I always spend more on them than that, some times very much more.

I remember getting one pair when I was 18 that cost me almost 2 months wages (they were gorgeous though! ) so it seems like times have definitely changed a lot in recent years.

Digital Spy announces ‘Reality TV Awards’

Digital Spy is to celebrate the reality TV genre with the UK’s first ever Reality TV Awards.

The Digital Spy Reality TV Awards will recognise the best and worst moments from shows such as The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother and The Apprentice.

Voting for the awards will open in late December on the Digital Spy site. The winners will be revealed at a star-studded red carpet ceremony in central London in March 2009.

The event will also be filmed and broadcast online on Digital Spy the following day.

The awards will be produced by Hachette Filipacchi UK, which stages the ELLE Style Awards, the annual Inside Soap Awards and the British Design Awards in association with ELLE Decoration.
