Get ready for high speed Internet from Merge
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Merge by Windstream. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have posted about Merge by Windstream here on RealityTVFan.org previously, quite recently actually, and I would like to blog about them again now as I believe what they offer is worth shouting about. Windstream are a well established company that are set to launch a new high speed Internet service called Merge offering an exciting and high tech new way for people to enjoy media and entertainment in their own home.
Merge includes all the following features and starts at just $52.99 a month
• High-speed Internet connection
• Roku 2 HD streaming box
• 24/7 U.S. based support
• Unlimited nationwide calling
Merge allows you to stream TV whenever you like straight to the TV, so no more having to follow any one elses schedule – create your own.
I have been using a system called Veebeam to stream the shows I love and get online on the big screen TV in the living room for a number of years now and record every thing else on a PVR, so I can watch my shows when it suits me. It amazes me to think that when we were growing up we didn't even have video recorders and there was only four TV channels – if you wanted to watch a show you needed to be sat in front of the TV at the time it aired or that was that, you had missed it and there would be no way to catch up. And anyone with siblings will know of the fights that would happen regularily when there was something on different channels at the same time that you wanted to watch!
I have not used Roku, but it is a similar system to Veebeam but more streamlined and up to date, I would love to be able to get my hands on it and try it out.
