If you have ever watched a Channel 4 documentary you will have surely seen the Honda sponsorship ads that run each time we go in to an advert break. They have been sponsoring Channel 4 documentaries for a number of years now.
Honda are about to release the next big phase in their sponsorship campaign by releasing a series of mini documentaries, an online hub as well as new indents for Channel 4 shows. The first indent ads aired around a week ago now during Cutting Edge documentary, 'Bums, Boobs and Botox, did you see them? The new campaign features real Honda consumers who use their Honda vehicles in a unique and interesting way – the first features a woman from Oxfordshire who uses her Honda ATV to farm her heard of Alpacas. Each of the stories featured will have a unique URL you can follow to find additional online content about the story.
As well as all the content related to the stories the main online hub will also have lots of interactive features and fun competitions to get involved in. There's a section where Honda owners can upload their own photos, videos and stories about the unusual ways they use their Honda and the creative directors of the current indents, W+K, will select their favourite which will actually be turned into a new campaign that will air on TV – how awesome would that be? It really makes me wish that I used my car in a more unusual way so that I could enter myself, those indents get aired hundreds of times and are seen by millions of people, what a claim to fame that would be
