Thanks so much for posting this!!
Ok, funniest thing this episode is the brief flash of Mark, blindfolded, with his glasses on the outside. lol
The right designer was sent home IMO. I mean, if we’ve learned anything from PR’s is that you just do not use fabric like materials (tarp, shower curtains, picnic blankets, etc) during an innovation challenge. And yes Claudia, that is about as Vivianne Westwood as you can get.
Yopie ~ I actually really loved hers and I didn’t think I would like that safety orange netting stuff, but the way she used it, under the skirt, really dulled the day-glo look of the material and added a touch of color that made the outfit.
William ~ It was ok. I thought the net leggings / stockings were the most interesting part.
Mark ~ I loved the vest and I loved the dress but I didn’t like the dress without the vest and I don’t think it was very innovative. I mean, the vest was gorgeous, but it just looked like a well-sewn leather vest.
Ryan ~ I didn’t like this much at all. Boring. Predictable and to me, it just wasn’t pretty. Oh, and talk about a coochie-hole! They labeled Kellyanne for it and yet he had one right there too! lol
Amber ~ I fricken LOVED this. I really think this look should have been in the top 3. It looks kinda simple up close but when you take a step back, and look at the silhouettes created it was really stunning and very wearable.
Kellyanne ~ Ok. So here I really had to try and be objective because all of the “I don’t know what Avant-garde is” crap was really grating. That being said, I LOVED the top. The bottom, not so much. I didn’t mind the look from the back, but the half circles on the bottom of the front was unattractive.
Lauran ~ Wow. I loved the whole thing. I thought the weaving she did with the different sizes of washers was gorgeous but it could have looked really heavy. I think by her using the juxtaposition of that heavy looking piece with the airiness and floatyness of the screen really made the look work. I personally liked Amber’s more, but I’m cool with her win.
Anthony ~ Another contender for the win, but to be honest, I was a little disappointed. Don’t misunderstand me, I loved his look, but somehow I expect a little more oomph from him since this is clearly what he loves to do. All in all, very nicely done.
Michael ~ First of all, STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR FRICKEN HAIR BUDDY. NO ONE CARES!! Ok, now that that is out of my system. lol I think it was pretty as styled, but I had a couple problems here. All of the little petal-type pieces were just too much and in fact DID make her look like a half pealed banana. To me, the bodice, and this is going to be gross – sorry, but it looked like something out of a horror movie. It looked like sewed together skin to me, which is just not attractive.
Again, these are just my opinions. YMMV.

The editing in the episode was really not subtle, it was obvious who the bottom two were going to be and they even had someone talking about the person who went home in the past tense!

Thanks for posting. I think this season has a lot of dark horse contenders, but I'm going to keep them to myself because every time I have a favorite, they get the boot! Overall, I thought everyone played it safe this week. It was a hardware store, people! A lot of missed opportunity. My favorite moment: Jason telling Kelly Anne that her dress was amazing and the double take on Michael's face. So great when someone with an inflated ego gets a pin stuck into it.

I'm so surprised that no one picked up any duct tape. It comes in many many colors and I have seen some FAB dresses/outfits made in the tape.
